Andrew Cheeseman Solutions Architect & Senior Developer

A Chief Technical Officer and Senior Developer with over 20 years’ solid career history working for Microsoft, IBM and ETZ Technologies. During my career to date, I have worked with leading global corporations and SMEs on a variety of key projects, including software design and implementation, technical architecture, IT industry events, such as TechEd Europe, and most recently, I led a start-up recruitment platform SaaS company to reach its goal of achieving a turnover of £2m.

Chief Technology Officer - ETZ Technologies

Based in Brighton, ETZ Technologies is an expert in recruitment industry SaaS technology providing over 400 clients globally in over 20 countries, recruitment industry cutting-edge technology solutions from online timesheets, to invoicing tools, and streamlining of back office processes. My role was as CTO and Business Partner, which saw me responsible for developing the company from a 2 person SME to employing 30 staff with an annual turnover of £2m.

Architecture and Development.
  • Implemented the use of Azure, MVC, SOA and SOLID design Patterns, NServiceBus and Micro Services
  • Direct line management for 7 Developers, 1 Architect, 6 Testers and Support Personnel
  • Architecture of the software & parts of the code base
  • Transitioned new host system and software architecture based around .Net 2.0 and Webforms
  • Moved software from .Net2 to .Net 4.52
  • Wrote and designed new components of the timesheet and back office software

Technical Architect EMEA Events & Principal Consultant

I began my tenure with Microsoft as Principal Consultant, before being promoted to Technical Architect in 2003. The EMEA Events team was responsible for delivering high profile conferences, including Tech.Ed, ITForum, Convergence Enterprise Partner Summit and CIO Summit. My responsibility was to deliver the highest level of technical, Software Design and IT system solutions for these events.

Key Partnerships included KPMG, Poxim, Telefonica, HP, Dell, SwissCom and Media Streams to deliver great services and solutions to the delegates, with my team designing and building the strategy for technical software and systems support.

  • Systems and Software design & delivery for attendee systems, registration, event management tools, delegate meeting tools, content management systems and Conference Cyber and Communication Café
  • LAN, WAN and Wireless networking for the events
  • Presented work and team collaborations to delegates and the media often ranked in the top 5-10 technical sessions at each event.

BRS Worldwide Specialist BRS USA & BRS Senior Technical Solutions Designer

During my time at IBM I had 2 key roles where I provided National and International support for the following:-
